Responding to the letter responding the article about U.S. marines.
First of all, the writer of this letter, Sandval, says "I know what type of people work in these places, so please don't make a hasty judgment about these four defenders of your country."
In this sentence, he wants to say that, "I know that people who work in the bar are kind of people easy to sleep with, so marines should not be judged right away."
The sentence Sandval wrote implies, that he thinks that people working in the bar are easy to sleep with, so, the woman may have agreed to have sex with these four marines and later, the woman reported police for some reason.
Sandval is judging people in the bar that they do not reject when they were asked to go out or to sleep with.
This is such biased view toward people working in the bar.
Also Sandval said that, "Why did she wait to make the report to the police?".
This delay of the report commonly happen among women who were raped.
Since most of women feel very humbling and depressed after they are raped, they do not want to admit that they were raped, and telling to otehrs even to the police will be a painfulthing for them.
In the last paragraph of his letter, Sandval refers to the U.S. militaly protecting oversea countries including Japan, by stationing militaly based in other counties.
It can be true that the existance of the U.S. militaly bases in Japan, protecting Japan from other countries attack or at least reinning in other countries' desire to attack Japan.
However, it does not mean that the U.S. militaly people can do whatever they want to do in Japan.
Even if the U.S. militaly help Japan or Japanese government, Japanese self defence forces are also helping the U.S. government.
Not only Japan and the U.S., but also many other countries are hepling each other, mutual help.

Reason for me to be in IES.
Today, I would like to talk about why I am in IES.
There are some reasons for me to be in IES, so I will tell you one by one.
First one, is that I like studying English.
I have some other subjects I like such as art, religion and some others, but the best one for me is English.
I have studied English since I was six, but I do not think of myself hating English at any point of my life untill now.
Second reason is that because I would like to live in English speaking county such as Canada and U.K. and work there.
To achieve my dream I really want to be able to communicate with people in English and understand each other.
Third reason for me is also related to working overseas.
My dream is to become a special make up artist.
Recently, I am thinking if I would really going to study about make up after graduating the university, but my current dream is to go to a school for studying special make up in Hollywood after graduate and hopefully, get job for make up.
Here is a link to the web page of the school which I am planning to go sfter graduation.
cinemamakeup.com
This is an example of special make up↓

So, studying English is very fun and important for me.
I am quite happy to be in IES, as I like speaking English and I believe that I can improve my English skills in the class, as long as I do my best
Thank you very much for reading my blog:)
Have a nice day!

Lately....
Lately, it is getting cooler.
But still in Osaka, it is much warmer than autumn temperature I think.
Recently, I really want to go on trip and relax.
It has not been long since school started again, however, I am already tired.
Living in Japan , going to university and studying English in a special course is such hectic.
If I could go wherever I would want, I would like to go tosomewhere near the ocean and sit outside and just want to spend time looking far in the sky and feeling wind breath.
Maybe place like this.

Anyway, I have to keep up studying untill the next holiday.
Tonight, I am watching the movie called "No body knows" , Japanese movie.
It is sad movie, and also very quiet movie.
May be some of you have watched it before, but if you have not, may be you could watch.
It is fiction based on a true story.
I do not think I could tell you what this movie is like, so if you watch it, I am sure you will know.
So, if you were interested in the movie, please watch.
Japanese title is "Daremo siranai"

TOEFL test.
Today it is very cool and I am really happy.
Recently, actually since I was a high school student, I have tried to make my own web site.
However, it is quite difficult to make it because I have to use some kind of special software to upload web page....
Lately, I am thinking if I will try to get a license as a teacher while I am in an University.
I really think it could be an advantage for me to have it, if I ever become a teacher.
However, I do not know if I would ever need it.
Honestly, I would never want to be a teacher.
Also, to become a teacher, I have to take some subjects that I am not interested in at all...
I know that I should decide by myself what to do because it is my life, but it is very difficult.....
Anyway....a title of the blog today,"TOEFL test".
I was TOEFL test last Saturday, at university.
First time, I took a Computer based test, which is much easier for me without marking, and this time it was paper writing test. I do not like paper based test because for me, it takes long time to mark out answers........ I hope my score went up.
The last thing I will write about today, is not about anything related to school or studying, but about movie. The movie called "The boon dock saints" As you may imagine, it is a movie that has something to do with religion especially Christianity but it is also about murderers.
It is interesting I think, and if you wanted to watch, you can rent from video shop, so please try.
Last time, I put an trailer from "You tube", but it got deleted, so if you want to watch, please go to "You tube" and find it.

Respond to two articles about modern Japanese.
Today, I will respond to two articles about modern Japanese.
First, since long before I read these articles about Japanese, I have been thinking that recently Japanese are getting confusing even for native Japanese speakers.
I often hear some words so called gairaigo on T.V. and most of the time I have no idea what the word means.
Also lately, on some T.V. shows, I see some gairaigo being explained, so that it is obvious that many people can not understand what these words means.
I sometimes question if even the person who uses the words understands the meaning fully.
Then why people use these gairaigo?
I think as Ms. Tomoko Otake (person who wrote the first article) says, it is a kind of showing off.
I think there is a kind of thinking in politicians and other people who use these gairaigo, that if they use these words, they seem superior than others, because not many people understand gairaigo even if some did.
However, regardless of if they have a kind of thinking that I mentioned above or not, it is true that it will not be genuine communication if one can not understand completely what someone says.
In this case I think people should use words that people, who they are talking to and trying to communicate, can understand.
Especially politicians and representatives of people.
By communicating with each other with the words people can understand, I think people could interact and understand better with others.
